Janet McLennan made a Legacy gift bequest to the State Forests Trust of Oregon. Janet was a leader in helping to raise funds to build the Tillamook Forest Center, and bestowed her legacy gift to help ensure that the work would continue even long after she was no longer involved.

I give to the Trust to support the completion of the Wilson River Trail. I’d like to see it finished in my lifetime. And, I appreciate that my gift was matched, doubling my impact.

My third-grade class made the first ever contribution to what eventually became the State Forests Trust of Oregon. For the following 20 years, I brought my students to learn about the forest at the beautiful Tillamook Forest Center. The State Forest is our incredible legacy and it’s up to us to help ensure that the next generation understands how special it is and appreciate it.
