Trails and Facilities
The Trust provides funding that helps build and maintain trails and facilities, like the Tillamook Forest Center, the Wilson River Tralil, Shelburg Falls, horse camps, and many others. We helped fund replanting and restoration of trees and trails in the Santiam Forest after the big fires. In the constantly-changing landscape of Oregon state forests, this work goes on.
Volunteer Services
The Trust supports the volunteers who work to build and maintain trails, provide education and way-finding for visitors, and interpretative experiences in our woods.
Education and Advocacy
The Trust helps to advocate for access to our state lands, for rules and regulations that support responsible recreation, enhanced education to promote forest literacy, and that allow folks from every walk of life to appreciate, utilize and understand these remarkable lands.
Outreach and Communications
The Trust runs outreach and communication programs to support responsible recreation, to disperse visitors throughout the wide range of available activities and places, and to empower people of all sorts to experience these wonderlands.
